Holiday Gift Guide For Real Foodies – Our Favorite Books

I say it every year…………..This year I am going to enjoy the holidays.  And then the chaos begins.  School programs, shopping, parties, extra cleaning, decorating, extra family visits, tree chopping………it goes on an on.  I love everything about the holiday season, but I don’t get to take the month off from work.  I have to get everything done in the evenings and weekends.  The earlier I get things started, the better chance I have of being able to focus on the true meaning of the season.

Gift guide for foodies

I would like to say that I wait till after Thanksgiving to start my shopping, but that just isn’t realistic.  Too much to do and so little time!  I invite you to celebrate the joy of the holidays with me as I share with you some of my favorite gifts for all of the Real Foodies on your list.  Today, I am sharing some of our favorite books.  Cook books make great gifts.  My mother-in-law likes to put a sweet note in the books she gives.  Her notes bring a smile to my face each time I open up the book to make a recipe.

Think about it………..The gift of delicious meals.  It doesn’t get any nicer than that.

I’ve included affiliate links to Amazon in this post.  If you use the link, Juggling Real Food and Real Life will receive a small referral fee which helps offset the cost of this blog and allows me to keep bringing you great real food information, recipes, and fun.  I appreciate your support.  OK……..here we go………..

100 Days of Real Food Book

100 Days of Real Food

This is my favorite new book this year.  I’m still working my way through all of the wonderful recipes.  Every recipe that I have tried so far is really delicious and a big hit with my family……..and that’s not easy to do with the crowd I cook for.  This book is so much more than a cook book.  Lisa Leake is a wildly popular blogger who took her family on a real food journey.  She shares all that she learned on her journey and it sure is a help to all of those looking to start their own real food journey.  I wrote a review about the 100 Days of Real Food book in an earlier post.  You can read it here.
Deliciously Organic by Carrie Vitt

Deliciously Organic

I gave this book to family members last year.  Per Carrie, “Each recipe features only organic, unprocessed, and whole ingredients that everyone will love.” Some of her recipes include Lemon Sour Cream Pancakes with Blueberry Puree, Mexican Rice Casserole, and Tuscan Lemon Chicken.  It is so nice to have a cook book that you can just use without worry about processed food ingredients. Sure I can convert recipes, but with Carrie’s book I don’t have to.  Nice and easy and always delicious.
‘The Crockin' Girls Cook book

The Crockin’ Girls

The Crockin’ Girls are not known for being healthy real food cooks, but I’ve got to tell you, I discovered them when I needed them the most.  Their smiling faces encouraged me to get out my old crock pot that I got for a wedding present and actually use it.  It turns out that it is the tool that I use the most to Juggle Real Food and Real Life.  I throw some ingredients in the crock in the morning and I have a delicious hot meal ready to go when my family gets home for dinner.  Jenna and Nicole share lots of delicious recipes that can be made as is or that can easily be converted to real food.  There are lots of canned soup recipes, but that never stopped me from creating delicious real food meals.  As an added bonus, since The Crockin’ Girls are both mommas, most of their recipes are very kid-friendly.

That’s just the start to the Juggling Real Food and Real Life gift guides.  I’ve got much more to come for you……..lots of great kitchen tools, small appliances, and even great gift ideas for kids.  I’ve got the real foodie in your life covered no matter what their age.  Let’s really enjoy the season with our families this year.

Do you have a favorite book that you like to gift?  What are some of your favorite kitchen gifts to give?  When do you start your holiday shopping?
